I was born and raised in Calgary, but spent a lot of my time in the Crowsnest Pass where my family is from.  I have always had a passion for sports, health, fitness and the outdoors.  I have played many sports with a focus on Hockey in the winter and soccer in the summer.  I was fortunate enough to Play hockey for the Mount Royal College Cougars while enrolled in the Phys. Ed Transfer Program and than the University of Calgary Dino’s while finishing my Kinesiology Degree.  After my first degree I went on to play in the Western Women’s Hockey League for 2 years with the Strathmore Rockies.  I finished my education degree and have been teaching for just over three years now.  While taking my education degree I worked as a personal trainer, and have done so part time ever since.  I completed my Certified Personal Trainer Certification (CPT) through Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP) and have almost completed my Certified Exercise Physiology (CEP) certification. I have a worked with a variety of people from Sport training, to rehabilitation.  I run my programs to focus on the needs of the individuals, keeping in mind that everyone can meet goals and accomplishments given they are suitable for them.  I try to promote a team environment where the atmosphere is fun, and the support is strong.  I strive on good energy bring a positive attitude and throw challenges that everyone is capable of.

My own training: - In 2009 I went to San Diego to take my Crossfit Level 1 Certification, and have recently (after a few injuries), started back on Crossfit workouts.  I am biking in the ride to conquer cancer at the end of June, I run, and still play hockey and soccer.  I believe that life is about balance and that exercise is just one part to staying healthy.  I like to try many different things in training/exercise, to keep interested, healthy and motivated.
